Mr. Maleki began his career as a collector and seller of antique rugs, inspired by the beauty and the history, he went on to produce, design, create, and distribute his own made to order luxury carpets, rugs, and tapestries. His bespoke work was quickly recognized by famed maisons such as Salvatore Ferragamo, where he created pieces exclusively for their palaces.
Mr. Maleki and his studio has also dived into the modern world in the sector of design and architecture, working with renowned names such as Norman Foster, and more. Studio Maleki prides itself on handmade quality and craftsmanship and the usage of only natural dyes. Studio Maleki prides themselves on assistance, quality, and it’s one-of-a kind beautiful pieces.

NATURAL MATERIALS
The handmade fibers used to produce Studio Maleki’s customized works are all 100% natural.
Every single product is completely handmade with natural dyes derived from plants and animals.
The tradition of natural techniques and uses of dyes from the earth are continued in the studio’s renown work and legacy.
The coloring of yarn
The studio personally colors their own yarns using only natural dyes and techniques. These methods help to create unique color and to personally customize each piece of work. From the shade of the dye and the technique, one is able to choose from an array of options.
Working techniques
The yarn used to create each piece is an essential component for a completed rug, tapestry, or carpet. Studio Maleki offers a variety of hand-made techniques such as: knotting, tufting, and looming. Each technique provides a diverse desired effect depending on the client’s wishes. All materials are hand.
Carving
The shearing effect on a carpet creates different patterns and textures. The handmade shearing effect allows a luxurious way of customization the final look of the product. By using the technique of sharing by hand, one can adjust the precision cropping, trimming and tuft tips to the desired sculpted effect.
Washing
The washing process includes the first wash, to originally clean the carpet and work on the removal of dust. This process is done naturally with the use of pure water. The final washing stage at the end ensures a sheen and luster for the rug.
Drying
Our natural yarns are dyed naturally and then follow the tradition of being left to dry naturally outdoors in the sun.

The legacy and luxury from Persian rugs has been reinvented to be customized by Studio Maleki. Our carpets and rugs can be made in any size: big, small or even wall-to-wall options.
